History of The Hospital
Ayatollah Taleghani educational and therapeutic hospital was established in 1359 in the southwestern region of Urmia city on a land with an area of 17400 square meters and with an organizational chart of 450 beds with the official permission of the health organization of that time.
This medical center initially started its activity in operating room, urology, orthopedics and internal specialties, and in recent years, it has been a referral of the province in internal, infectious, heart, skin and poisoning specialties, and during the corona pandemic period of Ayatollah Hospital. Taleghani As the only referral center for the covid disease, for more than two years, it was solely responsible for the mission of treating patients with this disease, after the announcement of the end of the covid and return to normal conditions, this treatment center continues to operate with current specialties.
This government hospital with an infrastructure of 18400 square meters with 206 active beds and 121 active hemodialysis beds is ready to provide services for patients. The hospital departments include treatment, paraclinic, polyclinic and administrative departments.
