Distribution of Livelihood Support Packages to Needy Families by the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Charity Association and the International Students Scientific Association of Urmia University of Medical Sciences
According to Mufda Urmia, with the efforts of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Charity Association, particularly the international students of Urmia University of Medical Sciences, and in collaboration with the University's Extracurricular Affairs Office and the Vice-Chancellorship for Cultural and Student Affairs, relief packages worth 220 million rials were distributed among needy families on Saturday, May 16, 2026, coinciding with Health Week.
This charitable initiative was carried out with the aim of promoting a culture of solidarity, supporting underprivileged groups, and strengthening the spirit of social responsibility among students. A number of active university students also participated in the implementation of the project.
The students involved in the program emphasized the importance of valuing family foundations and assisting those in need. They described participation in charitable activities as an effective step toward enhancing social capital and promoting a culture of altruism within society.
The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Charity Association and the International Students Scientific Association of Urmia University of Medical Sciences also expressed their appreciation for the cooperation of students and benefactors, stating that the continuation of supportive and public-benefit programs remains one of their primary objectives in serving needy members of the community.
