International Students May Begin Studies at Iranian Medical Universities Only with a Student Visa
The Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Medical Sciences Planning has announced the issuance of a resolution adopted during the 11th meeting of the National Commission for the Development, Evaluation, and Accreditation of International Education. Under the new directive, non-Iranian (international) applicants may begin their studies at all medical universities and schools across Iran only upon presenting a valid student visa.
According to the resolution, and in accordance with national higher-level regulations as well as security considerations, obtaining and presenting a student visa is a mandatory requirement for international students to commence their studies. Presidents of medical universities and educational institutions will be responsible for ensuring the full implementation of this directive.
The directive has been issued within the framework of the resolutions of the Supreme Council for Medical Sciences Planning with the aim of organizing and standardizing the process of commencing studies for international students at the country's medical universities.
