SIGNING A JOINT MEMORANDUM BETWEEN URMIA UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND ATATURK UNIVERSITY OF ERZURUM
On Tuesday, May 23, 2022, a joint meeting was held between Dr. Valizad the rector of Urmia University of Medical Sciences (UMSU) and Dr. Chomakli the rector of Ataturk University (AU) of Erzurum, Turkey in UMSU headquarters
Dr. Valizad declared: "Since the International Secretariat of the Northwest is located in West Azerbaijan Province, we are so delighted to expand scientific activities at the international level specially with Turkey
Dr. Chamakli, while praising the Iranian Consulate in Turkey for arranging this trip, said: “Erzurum is one of the largest and best universities in Turkey”
In the meeting, exchange of professors and students, joint education of students, issuance of joint certificates and diplomas, implementation of joint international research projects in the field of health, publication of joint magazines as well as health tourism in the region were discussed
At the end, a joint memorandum was signed between the two universities
