The Deputy for educational affairs has the responsibilities to enhance academic policy development, to promote quality assurance processes, to improve the quality of teaching and learning, and is responsible for the development and promotion of different majors in the University. It also bears the responsibility of planning, managing and directing all aspects of educational affairs at the undergraduate, graduate, Ph.D , and upper levels by supervising the good implementation of educational rules and regulations, decision-making about educational affairs, policy-making and adopting necessary measures to develop and improve the educational quality and holding training courses and their evaluation.
Aims and Duties:
• Studying and making decisions on educational issues of students in terms of their scientific and practical progress. • Preparation and setting of the general principles of academic programs in cooperation with the educational council and supervision of their implementation after approval. • Addressing schools curricula and commenting on their change or development. • Supervision of affairs related to the general duty of students and approval of their studying certificate as their career. • Supervision of affairs related to the general duty of students and their military service affairs. • Supervision of graduation certificate of students and evidence of academic qualifications. • Supervising the registration and appointment of university students of different disciplines. • Provide and customize the status and information of different disciplines and send them to competent authorities. • Supervision of students' transfer and guest affairs in accordance with the rules and regulations. • Establishing contact with other universities and educational institutions for student and educational exchanges. • Preparation and drafting of educational services regulations for the proposal to the university council for approval. • Establishment and maintenance of coordination between colleges and institutions of the university affiliated with the educational services activities. • Establishing coordination between the activities of the different affiliated departments. • Responsibility over the special case committee of the university. • Control over the work of the affiliated departments, admission and guest transfer, transfer of students, administrative and educational affairs, students and special cases of alumni affairs, and statistics and computer services through the supervision of their work. • Supervision over the implementation of regulations, regulations for educational services of university and affiliated departments. • Supervision of all activities, such as sending a student card, term report card, score list, attendance and absence list of students. • Supervision of the secretariat of the university educational council, and the drafting of its approvals and supervision over its implementation.
