PASSPORT
After entering Iran, be sure to keep your passport safe (damage by water, mutilation, loss, or tearing).

VISA
The consular department only provides services to students holding a student visa or residence permit in Urmia.
WARNING
Do not leave Iran if you have entered with a student visa until the residence permit is issued.
After entering with a student visa, visit the consular office as soon as possible to obtain a residence permit from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Fees
Issuance and renewal of residence: 300,000 IRR
Exit and return or final exit: 100,000 IRR
Daily fine for unauthorized residence: 4,000,000 IRR
*Avoid paying any additional amounts, whether in rials, dinars, dollars, or other currencies.
TIMELINE PROCESS
Students must adhere to the defined timelines for the following applications:
Exit and Return: at least one week in advance.
Residence Renewal: three months in advance.
Issuance of Residence Permit: immediately upon receiving a visa and entering Iran.
Final Exit: after completing financial and educational clearance procedures.
RULES FOR <
EXIT AND RETURN> OR <FINAL EXIT>:
* Students can apply for an exit and return permit four times a year. Exceeding this limit will result in an automatic warning from the foreign national system, causing delays and issues. Avoid unnecessary travel as much as possible.
*After receiving the final exit stamp, students must leave the country within five days. Failure to do so will result in a fine of 400,000 tomans per day, payable to the passport police.
*Due to certain problems and violations, any residence outside the student dormitory is prohibited, and the student will be responsible for the consequences.
