Department of midwifery as one of the important departments aims to train acknowledged midwives with a diverse range of experience over many specialist areas within the midwifery profession. Many are actively involved in research; generating new knowledge which directly affects today’s practice and providing great amount of information in midwifery field to create an effective role in the health condition of mothers and babies during pregnancy period and after that. Department of midwifery accepts BSc. Midwifery students for 4 years, and it is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery school.
The department is mainly focused on preparing students for the challenging and rewarding role of a midwife. Our priority is to give you the skills and knowledge to deal with the diverse experiences you will have as a midwife with knowledge and confidence. To prepare students for clinical placements, as well as traditional classroom teaching, they will be taught through simulated practice in our Clinical Skills Centre. The center mirrors the real-world healthcare environment and gives students the opportunity to practice and develop their skills in a safe environment ready for placements.
