This brutal disease comes in many different forms to many different parts of body, but almost the most silent type of it comes to the person's head and neck area that when diagnosed, it is too late to cure it biochemically, therefore this gives a really high importance to the science of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology.
Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology activities include:
Conducting head & neck pathology lessons for undergraduate, general pathology residents and continuing educational levels.
Pathologic lesion diagnosis and pathologic reports for received specimens.
Researches in head & neck cancer, cell culture and new methods for precise diagnosis of pathologic lesions.
Pathology lab that includes clean room for preparation of received specimens, tissue processor devices and slide room for tissue labeling and staining.
