The department of oral & maxillofacial radiology offers its activities in undergraduate education, and in clinical and educational research centers. Our mission in the department is to empower the students with latest knowledge and comprehensive skills in the prescription, production and interpretation of diagnostic images for the diagnosis and management of diseases and disorders of craniofacial complex. Oral and maxillofacial imaging modalities includes, but is not limited to, dental panoramic radiology, cephalometric imaging, intra-oral imaging (e.g. bitewing, peri-apical and occlusal radiographs), CBCT multislice CT ,MRI, Ultrasonography, PET, in addition to special tests like sialographs. Students are also trained to be able to extract the most evidence-based data among various databases and to be able to apply the most evidence-based scientific knowledge in every day practice. Our vision is to become one of the most advanced contemporary centers in providing academic and cutting-edge diagnostic services in the region.
