Department of Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry
Pharmaceutics & Medicinal Chemistry provides broad training for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, and governmental positions. Students may acquire experience in an industrial setting through cooperative work projects or internships with biotechnology or pharmaceutical companies. For students interested in an academic career in higher education, opportunities exist to gain experience in teaching and administering a variety of laboratory and lecture courses. Our programs are designed to allow faculty and students to develop close working relationships throughout the student's training while providing a high degree of flexibility in the selection of individual courses of study and research projects.
